Ultrasound Imaging

What is Vascular Screening at Totality?

Vascular screening is a series of three ultrasound examinations checking for plaque build-up in your arteries. Specifically, at Totality we will perform an examination of the arteries in the neck that carry blood to your brain because plaque in these CAROTID arteries can cause STROKE. We also examine the abdominal aorta, the large blood vessel that carries blood to your kidneys, your stomach and other organs in the abdomen and your legs because plaque and hypertension can cause abnormal enlargement of the aorta, ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM which can burst, RUPTURED ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM and be fatal. Lastly we examine the arteries in your legs and check the blood pressure in your legs because plaque in these PERIPHERAL ARTERIES can cause PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE.

What is Diagnostic Imaging?

Diagnostic Imaging at Totality primarily utilizes ultrasound imaging.  Ultrasound imaging utilized at Totality includes the evaluation of veins and arteries of the legs and arms, carotid arteries, abdominal structures, thyroid glands, renal arteries, mesenteric arteries, aorta and inferior vena cava.  Please visit the pricing tab of the website to see our competitve self pay fees.
